Mountain State Overland presents the 6th Annual Adventure X Fest (AXF) on September 12-14, 2025 in Circleville WV with LIVE acoustic music performances by Trevor Thomas.

Adventure X Fest (AXF) is an adventure base camp festival celebrating epic adventures and outdoor vibes. Arrive on Friday, explore on Saturday and leave on Sunday. Celebrate each night with drinks, music and a campfire in one of the most unique places you’ll ever visit - the Spruce Knob Mountain Center at Experience Learning.

Resting just off the shoulder of Spruce Knob (West Virginia’s summit) you’ll be camping on over private 400 acres of beautiful landscapes, grassy fields and wide open skies. With an average summer temperatures rarely exceeding 72F you’re in for an amazing weekend while making Experience Learning your basecamp.

Experience Learning is surrounded by the Spruce Knob-Seneca Rocks National Recreation Area and your outdoor opportunities are limitless. Plan to explore local forest roads, fish native trout streams, hike wildly natural trail systems and lay down some miles on your gravel or mountain bike.

Dine and celebrate with Mountain Table at AXF. All local and sustainable for the event is catered by Mountain Table and they’ll be serving beverages from various West Virginia breweries.

Volunteer - Event Pass » Your Volunteer event pass gives you and all of your passengers access to camp at Adventure X Fest from Thursday evening, September 11 through Sunday, September 14. Volunteers will be asked to assist with trip planning assistance, camper check-in, event setup and event tear down. Volunteers will be required to be on site Thursday, September 12 5PM and be available for the entire event with exception to 9A-3P on Saturday when you’ll be encouraged to get out and explore. You will receive an event sticker, a patch and two (2) beverage tickets when you arrive at the event. More details in the FAQs.

General - Event Pass » Your General event pass gives you and all of your passengers access to camp at Adventure X Fest from Friday, September 12 through Sunday, September 14. You will receive an event sticker, a patch, and two (2) beverage tickets when you arrive at the event.

The Yurt Experience - Event Pass » Your Yurt Experience event pass gives you and all of your passengers access to stay in one of Experience Learning’s rental yurts. Get uber close access to the bath house and event headquarters for two nights at Adventure X Fest from Friday, September 12 through Sunday, September 14. You will receive an event sticker, a patch, and two (2) beverage tickets when you arrive at the event. Yurts can sleep up to 2 people in one bed. Bedding and a space heater is provided and we welcome you bring additional blankets and pillows should you need more comfort.
