weekly video xxii - "What's Possible: The U.N Climate Summit Film."
As carbon levels exceed 400 parts per million, you have to ask yourself "what do we do now?" There has never been a better time to take action and make a difference. It really is in our hands to force the issues and demand change!
"Presented to world leaders at the United Nations Climate Summit in New York, this short inspirational film shows that climate change is solvable. We have the technology to harness nature sustainably for a clean, prosperous energy future, but only if we act now. Narrated by Morgan Freeman, it calls on the people of the world to insist leaders get on the path of a livable climate and future for humankind."

Music for the road-5: Ethan Parker Band, "Peace Like A River".
"Ethan Parker Band is a group of 4 guys who are striving to create incredible music with amazing lyrics. The band does not desire to follow in the footsteps of the normal Christian music sound but rather be who they are and out of that create amazing original music."
"The style has influences from two environments where Ethan and the Band were raised. From folky-Tennessee influences to Jazzy Beach vibes the band has come together to create a truly unique and powerful song that not only every one can enjoy but is also God inspired."

today's beer of the day - 13. @sierranevada @bellsbrewery #maillardsodyssey #darkale
Today on TBD - 13, Sierra Nevada's Maillard's Odyssey. It is an imperial dark ale that was made in collaboration with Bell's Brewing Company out of Kalamazoo, MI.
"Rich, dark, and roasty. That was the concept Bell’s beer guru John Mallett aimed for and, true to John’s vision, Maillard’s Odyssey is exactly that. Its name honors the Maillard reaction—the “browning” of sugars and amino acids—that creates the wonderful caramelized toffee-like and roasted flavors so abundant in this beer."
"Maillard’s Odyssey is a robust dark ale layered with complex malt flavors of toffee, caramel, chocolate, coffee, and dark fruit. This malt-focused concept spawned a daunting grain bill featuring 10 different grains including pale malt, Munich, chocolate malt, oats, dark wheat and roasted barley for a rich, semi-sweet and intense experience."
My impression of this beer is; that it is a very dark (by dark I mean it is so dark that light can't pass through it sort of like a black hole) ale with a moderate head as it is initially poured out of the bottle. It smells of molasses, caramel, and toffee. You can taste the roasted and browned sugars, and it has a caramel aftertaste. It is smooth and thick on the palate, and smooth going down too. It also has an 8.5% ABV, which is pretty substantial. In my opinion this is another good beer and so far Sierra Nevada has really put together a great group of brewers and beers to make this 12 pack one to remember.

weekly video xxi - backcountry north island trailer. @outsidemagazine @GinClearMedia #flyfishing #newzealand
weekly video XXI - "backcountry north island." a gin-clear media production.
"Backcountry North Island" follows six fly fishermen as they explore a treasured corner of New Zealand's North Island. Active volcanos, rugged gorges and dense forests provide an epic backdrop for some of the best trout fishing on the planet, but the real adventure lies in the journey to the streams."
"The backcountry of New Zealand holds a special place in the heart of all Kiwis. "Going bush" is a national past time, and Kiwi fly fishers like nothing better than the sun on their backpack, the cold touch of a mountain stream and the opportunity to sight fish for giant trout in pristine settings."
Take a peak at the natural beauty of New Zealand and then catch the film by Gin-Clear Media that is due to be released in December 2014.

Music for the road-4: SteelDrivers, "Where Rainbows Never Die".
"Nashville, Tennessee is a nexus – a point where tradition and innovation intersect, where commerce collides with art. "
"And only Nashville could give birth to a band like the SteelDrivers: a group of seasoned veterans –each distinguished in his or her own right, each valued in the town’s commercial community – who are seizing an opportunity to follow their hearts to their souls’ reward. In doing so, they are braiding their bluegrass roots with new threads of their own design, bringing together country, soul, and other contemporary influences to create an unapologetic hybrid that is old as the hills but fresh as the morning dew. This is new music with the old feeling. SteelDrivers fan Vince Gill describes the band’s fusion as simply "an incredible combination."
